The Apidos Investment Management Team is comprised of 19 investment professionals, including 16 leveraged loan credit professionals, and 3 Resource Europe Specialists. The Senior Members of the Investment Management Team have managed or co-managed 23 loan vehicles including 20 CLO obligations.

Gretchen Bergstresser, President of Apidos, Senior Portfolio Manager, Management Committee Member. Prior to founding Apidos, Ms. Bergstresser was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at MJX Asset Management LLC (“MJX”), a multibillion dollar boutique asset management firm managing leveraged loans across five CDO vehicles. Each CDO is primarily invested in leveraged loans with a basket for high yield bonds. Prior to MJX, she was a CDO portfolio manager and Head Par Loan Trader at Eaton Vance Management, where she joined in 1996 and was a key member that grew loan assets under management. Ms. Bergstresser was directly responsible for managing three CDOs comprised primarily of leveraged loans. She was also the Par Loan Trader responsible for trading for all loan portfolios. Previous associations: Vice President in leveraged lending groups, Bank of Boston and ING Capital. At each of these institutions, she was responsible for origination and managing leveraged loan opportunities. She earned an MBA from Boston University, a MS in Chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University, and a B.S. from St. Lawrence University.
Vincent M. Ingato, Portfolio Manager,
Managing Director of Apidos.
Prior to Apidos, Mr. Ingato was a member of the CDO Asset
Management Group of ACA Capital, where he was responsible for the
firm’s Corporate and Leveraged Loan CDOs. Prior to joining ACA
Capital, Mr. Ingato was Senior Vice President and Head of the Leveraged
Finance Group at Fuji Bank which he started in 1992. In 1998, Mr.
Ingato founded and acted as Investment Committee Chairman of Mountain
Capital, Fuji's asset management subsidiary. After the bank merged
to form Mizuho Financial Group, he served as Deputy General Manager.
Prior to joining Fuji Bank, Mr. Ingato was Vice President and Area
Manager of the Corporate Banking Group at Wells Fargo Bank. He has
also served as Corporate Banking Officer of Corporate and Government
Banking at the Bank of Montreal, after leaving his position as Assistant
Treasurer of Bank Support Services of Chase Manhattan Bank, where
he began his career. Mr. Ingato holds his BSBA, magna cum laude, in
Business from Fairfield University, and his MBA in Finance from the
College of William and Mary.
Christopher D. Allen, Chief Operating Officer
of Apidos, Senior Managing Director of RFFM, Senior Managing Director
of Resource Europe, Management Committee Member.
Mr. Allen is the Senior Managing Director of Resource Europe
Limited and a Managing Director of Resource Financial Fund Management,
Inc. (“RFFM”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Resource America
Inc., which is the parent of Apidos, Ischus and Trapeza. Mr. Allen
is in charge of the oversight of the global leveraged loan platform.
He is a member of the Apidos and Resource Europe Management committees
and oversees their operations. Prior to joining RFFM, he was a Vice
President at Trenwith Securities and an Associate at Citicorp Venture
Capital focusing on management buyouts, and private equity and debt
transactions. Mr. Allen received his BA from Harvard University and
received his JD from New York University School of Law.
Oscar K. Anderson, Managing Director, ASCCF Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Anderson joined Apidos Capital in December 2008. In June 2007, Mr. Anderson co-founded Tri-Mountain Partners, LLC, an alternative investment management business focused on hedge fund and direct private equity investments. From April 2004 to April 2007, Mr. Anderson was a Director in the high yield sales and trading group of Wachovia Securities in New York City. From 1996 to 2004, he was an Executive Director in the leveraged finance group of CIBC World Markets. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Anderson was an Equity Research Associate in the Investment Management Policy Group at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. In July 1994, he completed the two-year investment banking analyst program at Solomon Brothers Inc. Mr. Anderson received his A.B. from Harvard University in 1992.
Jennifer A. Patrickakos, Head of Operations,
Vice President of Apidos.
Prior to joining Apidos, Ms. Patrickakos was the Head of Operations
for MJX Asset Management LLC. Prior to MJX, she was an Associate Desk
Manager on the Bank Loan Sales and Syndications Trading Desk at Goldman
Sachs and Co. Previously she was the head of the closing group, Assistant
Vice President at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and was an analyst
in the Institutional Recovery Management Group at Citibank. Ms. Patrickakos
graduated from Providence College.
Philip J. Raciti, Senior Analyst of Apidos.
Prior to joining Apidos, Mr. Raciti was a credit analyst for
INVESCO, a $5.0 Bn asset management firm managing leveraged loans
across five structured vehicles. At INVESCO, Mr. Raciti’s responsibilities
included analyzing potential and existing transactions in the primary
and secondary bank loan market for purchase/sale consideration, portfolio
modeling and the implementation of web based reporting technologies.
Mr. Raciti received a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Law from Binghamton
University.
Michele Dragonetti, Senior Analyst of Apidos.
Prior to joining Apidos Capital in September 2006, Ms. Dragonetti
was a Vice President in Leveraged Finance Research at Credit Suisse.
Ms. Dragonetti was responsible for the analysis of primarily High
Yield credits, along with a handful of Investment Grade issues as
well. Her sector coverage experience includes Financial Services,
Services, Transportation, Homebuilding, and Building Products. Ms.
Dragonetti joined Credit Suisse in August 2000 in the company's acquisition
of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Prior to joining the Leveraged
Finance Research Group at DLJ, Ms. Dragonetti worked in equity sales
in the firm's Investment Services Group. Ms. Dragonetti earned a BA
in English at the University of Central Florida, and an MBA from New
York University.
Fred Colen, Senior Analyst of Apidos.
Prior to joining Apidos in July 2006, Mr. Colen spent over 6
years at TD Securities (USA), LLC where he was most recently a Vice
President in the Loan Sales & Trading Group. At TD, Mr. Colen
covered credits in the Cable, Telecommunications, Broadcasting and
Technology industries where his primary responsibilities included
building detailed company financial models as well as performing yield
and relative value analysis on covered credits. Mr. Colen also worked
in TD’s Media, Telecom and Technology Investment Banking Group
and Credit Derivatives Structuring Group. Prior to joining TD, Mr.
Colen spent 2 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he was an
Associate Consultant in the Financial Advisory Services Group. Mr.
Colen holds a BBA from Emory University and an MBA from Columbia Business
School.
Eric Ballantine, Senior Analyst of Apidos.
Mr. Ballantine joined Apidos in May 2007, after spending eight
years as a credit analyst with Standard & Poor's. At S&P,
he covered Capital Goods, Auto Suppliers, Trucking, and Truck Manufacturing
credits. Mr. Ballantine’s responsibilities included analyzing
both high yield and investment grade credits, meeting with management
teams, presenting credits to S&P credit committees, writing press
releases, and conveying S&P’s credit opinion to investors.
While at S&P, Mr. Ballantine also helped create an internal group
that looks at market-based indicators for potential credit anomalies.
Mr. Ballantine received his M.B.A from the University of Oklahoma.
Justin H. Sughrue, Senior Analyst of Apidos.
Mr. Sughrue joined Apidos in April 2005, after spending two years
as a high yield analyst with Merrill Lynch. At Merrill Lynch, he covered
Technology and Services credits, and his primary responsibilities
included writing research reports, creating financial models, and
proposing and analyzing relative value swap ideas. Before joining
Merrill Lynch, Mr. Sughrue worked as an associate for the BondDesk
Group, an online bond-trading firm for one year, and prior to that
worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in municipal finance for two summers.
Mr. Sughrue graduated from Trinity College with a BA in History.
François Manivel, Senior Analyst of Apidos.
Prior to joining Apidos, Mr. Manivel worked for Apidos’
European subsidiary Resource Europe Management Ltd., Prior to REML
Mr. Manivel was a Vice President at NIBC Bank NV in London where he
was responsible for monitoring the European leveraged loan portfolio
of the bank and the three CDO funds. Prior to NIBC, Mr. Manivel worked
as a Manager for 4 years with IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG in Paris
in the acquisition finance department. At IKB, he monitored the portfolio
of leveraged French credits, provided support to the originators and
negotiated restructurings and work-outs of nonperforming assets. Prior
to joining IKB, Mr. Manivel worked as an Analyst at Bank of Scotland
Structured Finance in Paris and Edinburgh. Mr. Manivel graduated from
EDHEC Business School (Lille – France) with a Masters Degree
in Management.
Kevin M. O’Meara, Analyst of Apidos.
Prior to joining Apidos in May 2007, Mr. O’Meara worked
for Prudential Financial’s loan group as an investment analyst
covering the Automotive, Business Services, Food & Beverage, Industrials,
Media, Metals & Mining and Retail sectors. Mr. O’Meara graduated
from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Finance and is currently
in an M.B.A. program at Fordham University.
Gregory J. Todisco, Analyst of Apidos.
Mr. Todisco joined Apidos in April 2005. His primary responsibilities
are financial modeling, portfolio analytics and certain credit analysis.
Previously, he worked in the Individual Investor’s Group at
Morgan Stanley. Mr. Todisco graduated from Fordham University with
a B.S. in Finance.
Lori M. Blutinger, Analyst of Apidos.
Ms. Blutinger joined Apidos in November 2006. Previously, she
worked for more than one year as a Corporate paralegal at Richards
Kibbe & Orbe LLP. Ms. Blutinger graduated from Cornell University
with a B.A. in Sociology in the spring of 2005.
Russell B. Stevens, Analyst of Apidos.
Mr. Stevens joined Apidos in July 2007. His primary responsibilities
include portfolio analytics, operations support and financial modeling.
During the summer of 2006 he worked for Resource America, Inc. aiding
in special projects. Mr. Stevens graduated from Bowdoin College with
a B.A. in Government and Legal Studies in the spring of 2007.
